Empretec is the flagship capacity-building programme of the United Nations, and is promoted in India by Empretec India Foundation (EIF). It was set up by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to promote innovative and internationally competitive, sustainable small and medium enterprises.
Empretec is a workshop by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, based on a methodology developed originally at Harvard University and tested in 70 countries before its adoption.
Also, Sahitya Raj won an internal competition with a record breaking score at Empretec India level.
In the words of Sreeal Co-Founders, "The 6 intense days of Empretec Workshop (ETW) designed based on behavioral approach to entrepreneurship taught us a new perspective towards setting, executing and achieving our short-term and long-term goals. ETW gave us a platform to network with 28 high-impact women entrepreneurs from diverse industries, varying experiences and multiple age groups. The 4 International Facilitators and Master Trainers gave us practical tools to think, realize, learn and act on various personal competencies of a successful entrepreneur. These learnings will surely allow us to unleash our personal entrepreneurial potential. We are very excited to be part of the huge Empretec Graduates Community from about 43 countries. We thank United Nations Development Programme - UNDP for sponsoring this valuable opportunity for us, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) & Empretec India (EIF) for devising this powerful programme."
